To all Members

This Saturday, 21st November, has been set aside for Coach Rick and his Selection Committees to get a chance to look at all our bowlers who want to play pennant this year. This also includes all our social bowlers, who want to have a game. Everyone is welcome this Saturday and we would like to see as many members as possible come along and enjoy the day.  If you have not put your name down for pennant, you are still welcome to play this Saturday.

It is also chance for our pennant players to get together and have the opportunity to test their skills against each other.  It has been a difficult season for getting together but now I urge all our pennant players to make a commitment this Saturday.  There is a sheet on the notice board for you to put your names on, we are struggling for numbers, but with your show of support we can have a better idea has to how strong we can be this year.

As I said the day is open for all members who want to have a bowl .

Pennant Players do not let your mates down come along and join in.

This is an opportunity for you to show your support to this great Club.

Be there please.

Hi To All Members
It has been some time since the Club asked members to advise if they would play pennant this year. Lots have happened since then and as you all know now, that pennant season for this year will be commencing on January 12th for Midweek and January 16th for Saturdays. This means that there will only be 9 rounds this year. Each game comprising 21 ends straight through and no afternoon tea breaks. We are again asking members to reconsider their opinions if they will represent the Club in pennant in 2021, especially if you had previously indicated not playing pennant for this season.
At present there will be a maximum of 5 games away and we can look at transport arrangements for this as time goes along. Maybe two persons per car but this will be determined along with COV restrictions. One good piece of news that has come through today is that while playing a game of bowls face masks do not have to be worn while playing. However, you must don your face mask prior to playing and on completion of play. This means you must have your face mask with you at all times.
We are looking at having an opening practice drills on Sunday 1st November at 11am followed up with pennant practice commencing on Monday 9th November for Midweek at 2.30pm and from Friday 13th November for Saturday players, commencing at 3pm.
I am asking members to once again submit your intentions re playing Midweek, Saturday or both to so as we can decide how many teams to enter for this season. We have until mid-November to decide so please send your intentions soon.
We do need more players and I am hoping you will give this your utmost consideration.
